Ok, maybe not NEVER see, but rarely.

The only time I see my black ghost knife or my royal pleco is when I sneak down at night to the fish room with a flashlight. And my flounder, he seems to come out of nowhere when food hits the tank, but disappears back into the sand soon after, only to seen again the next time I feed.

I'm seriously considering getting rid of the pleco, there's plenty of evidence he's in the tank during the day because of all the pleco poop, but I'm really sick of cleaning up after a fish I don't get to see or enjoy much. I can't believe the impact just that one pleco has on my tank. He poops more than every other fish in the tank!

So, do you have a fish that you rarely see?

How long have you had your royal? I have a BGK and a L330. Both are active during the day. The pleco took some time before he would even move during the day buy now he is out and about often through out the day.

I haven't seen my peacock eel in about a month and half. He loves to constantly bury himself in the sand so it wasn't a biggie not to lay eyes on him for a few weeks at a time. But this time is an exceptionally long absense and I'm beginning to suspect he's been eaten!

My dwarf puffers are super shy, I have to be by the tank for at least 5 mins or so and stand still before they will come out of hiding lol. When I move or anything they go back to hiding. lol.

Six months ago i added two platydoras costatus an pimelodus pictus in my redbelly tank. I thought they became food because i didnt saw them anymore but when i added some new driftwood i sawthem again after six months. :P

My L75 and my L264 are rare sights. The L75 is out a lot after lights out- he swims all night long. But the L264 is content to hang out in her cave 75-90% of the time. I don't mind though, its worth the wait!

In my 120 gal I have a ctenopoma ansorgii all the other fish have outgrown her but every couple months I spot her in there. I have a lot of cover in that aquarium so it's easy for her to hide .
