Another interesting catch, was netted in the Rio Uni on the eastern border of the district of Chepo, that borders on the the Darien.
This is the catfish, Pimelodella (Rhamdia) guatemalensis, or Rhamdia quelen, depending on which scientific description one chooses to subscribe to.
Two were caught at mid rainy season, and both were apporoximately 8¨(20 cms)

I don´t know if these are normally brackish species, but it is the rainy season, we have netted a few species that may have traveled up river.

These are small flounders (1¨- 2¨) called lenguada here.
Because they are so small, I put them in my sump, and they quickly disappeared.

They were caught very close to shore, in reedy areas in the Rio Mamoni.

Also caught the same day were 2 of these, but both died in the tank within 24 hours of being put in the tank.
