well i'm off fishing on saturday for the first time in about 6 weeks, going down to my local canal (leeds & liverpool) i'm targeting tench, so i stocked up on sweet corn ( strawberry & Tutti Fruiti flavor and normal ) and a big box of dendrabeanas. was also thinking about getting some hemp and casters and throwing down a blanket of hemp and using the casters as hook bait.

my plan is to stay close to the far bank which has plenty of gass and weed going to stay as close to it as possible throwing in some free offerings to get them aroused,

THE PLAN
the plan i've come up with is to use the sweetcorn in the morning & evening and mixing the 3 flavors and throwing them in as free offerings, still using the flavored sweetcorn as hook bait, i'm going to swap them from time to time until i can find what they want to eat.

then as it slowly gets towards mid morning and the rest of the afternoon i'm going to use the dendrebeana worms chop some up and throw them in as free offerings, at least that way if the tench have stopped feeding the perch, roach and bream may take them, threw the day i'm also going to offer the mixed sweetcorn but sparingly so they compeat for it and so it keeps them interested for when i go back onto it in the evening !

well just thought i'd share this with you all and hope this may help some other anglers who are off this weekend and are targeting tench.

Are tench a form of carp? Look very cool.
