Hey all, I took my long fishing trip.

Across the street from my house lol.
I get weird looks when I fish down there and people always ask me if theres actually fish in there. My resonse: "No, I just like sitting in here, with a pole"

What are peoples opinions on stocking a steam like this?

There is a very old man made steam that may or may not tie into the sewage line, probably just water coming down the slope of the escarpment routed through man made areas when new development was put in 25 years ago. In this certain section of stream I visited when I was young and just wandered through an hour ago, there is no life larger than an inch. Lots of waterbugs, but no shrimp, crayfish, fish, minnows, turtles, frogs, etc. At it's deepest, it looks to be near 2-3 feet, but never freezes over during the winter. There are houses all around it but they are fenced off and cut off by very thick vegetation.

I've been thinking of putting some natural indigenous life into this waterbody. I wouldn't mind sitting on the fallen trees and doing some catch and release of smaller fish. The steam continues on for hundreds of meters and somehow probably all the way to the lake which is near 7 kilometres away. What are peoples opinions on stocking a steam like this?
 
where in houston is this canal? I live in Northwest houston, and have similar canals, but there is nothing in them. I would love to fish for texas cichlids, but i didnt know they were even in the area :)
