so i went fishing today in a nearby cannal and i fished out a record 7 snakeheads today! the infestation is almost complete!

I'm thinking of making a trip to the Miami area to fish for invasives, and snakeheads are on the list. May I ask where you went?
Perhaps I don't understand....
Of course they are illegal to own/transport alive, but how could it possibly be illegal to CATCH them? If that were true, then it would be Russian roulette to throw a lure in a canal.
Plus, that River Monsters guy would be in jail. nobody is talking about owning them here, and I plan to terminate any I find; just like the thousands of other invasives I have collected in Florida.

^^ same, people go fishing for them on purpose all the time, aparently a great fighter, in fact, it's actually promoted by most wildlife agencies that you catch and kill as many as you can if i'm not mistaken, when that big breakout happened in maryland that started out the big war on snakeheads, people were encouraged strongly to take em out if they could
