I went to my local park yesterday an saw a 3ft snakehead swimming up river very slowly, i was so excited and amazed i ran to my truck and got my rods out, and yes i keep my rods every where i go for moments like this, and threw in a spinner bait, but for a half an hour i did'nt see him until he came up for air very slow so i knew he was still there so i tried a fake frog loure and no hits , so it was time for me to go an i came back today and the tide was low and the water was clear i spoted over 30 snakeheads mixed in with the large carp. I tried to catch 1 for 3 hours but no hits i had 1 chase my frog loure but he did'nt hit it good enough. so do anybody know whats the best bait to use to catch them? Oh the park is on the Maryland an DC line

Try real fish or real frog. Alive enough to still be kicking or swimming

Well, according to fish and wildlife, they eat small pets and children. They also have the ability to live out of water for 3 days, and can walk on land. So, here's the plan. Find a chicken, a live one. Go near the area where you saw the snakehead. Tie a rope to one of the chicken's legs. Make sure it is still able to walk. Take the other end of the rope, and stake it into the dirt. Grab yourself a cup of coffee, and wait till dark. Eventually, the snakehead will walk out of the water, and eat your "bait." This is where you pull out your gun of choice, and shoot the snakehead several times in the head. Finally, you will have your 3 foot snakehead.

No bs i seen the 2 biggest snakeheads i ever seen in life today an i been in the hobby since 1987, at this same river 2 4.5'-5' snkheads swimming around nice and slow in the river while the tide was low and the water clear, its so many of them its crazzy but i still have not caught 1 yet i got to find the right bait or lure to use, our try to get pictures up tomarrow.
