Fishing in Costa Rica

in the summer where going on vacation to Costa Rica,visiting the westcoast and the eastcoast and going inland.
I am going to fish as much as i can.
and i'm wondering whats easy to catch with what bait?
which fish could i expect?
is catching barracuda from shore realistic?
and how about tarpon?

costa rica has some of the best sailfishing (on the pacific side) that you can find

Given the right location, bonefish, barracuda and tarpon might be available from shore, or wading the flats. Inland, you could get into some nice, big cichlids. What kind of gear are you using?
