Lake Boshkung, near 20 minutes south of Haliburton.
There were three big Smallies caught by myself and my dad. This first one was caught before I got to the cottage but I measured the bench/seat in the boat and it was 17".

This Smallmouth that I caught measured 21" and weighed 4.5 lbs.

Thanks, it was a blast catching them. Trolling with spoons seemed to be the key this past weekend.
 
Great fish! You got my hopes up with the thread title, I wouldn't call it "northern" Ontario exactly LOL I thought I would find a new place to hook some monster smallies within a couple hours of home :D
 
Sorry for the mislead, while it is quite a bit north from me I wrote it assuming it would be mostly americans reading.

I would definatly go back to this lake, most of the time we were the only ones on it!
