Hey does anyone know how the fishing is in the Hudson river right now? I know that striper season ended in like june or something so what is out there that I can catch? I'm asking because I'd like to catch something bigger than what I am in the local ponds. The only equipment I have for bigger fish is a 7' uglystick that is medium action (10-25lbs) with braided 65lb line and 4/0 hooks. Will this work? I dont have a lot of money so I want to make due with what I have. What type of weight and bait will I need out there? I dont mind if its plastics lures or food items. What should I be expecting there?

Wat up J!!

Just try your favorite, you should beable to land some big cats.

DEF GET CATS N EELS YEAR ROUND,WHRE YOU FISHING UP STATE OR DOWN? UP BY ALBANY HERE THERES BASS,PIKE WHITE PERCH,SHAD,CHANNLE CATS,BULLHEAD,EEL,CARPSUCKERS AND A FEW STRIPERS THAT HAVNT LEFT

I'll be fishing in Edgewater, nj. I'll be right under the GWB or a mile of east of it depending on where I go. I hope the catfish are pretty big i'm planning to go soon. It does suck that i missed the stripers though
