haha yea strippers are nice but i rather catch some stripers

my largest striper was 39 inches and about 25#s. those 2 trips there were amazing trips. the first trip was two years ago, (the blury pic that you gotta open) and we caught over 50 stripers and 100 bluefish that day with the largest in the 37 inch range. we had a perfect limit of 8 fish between 24 and 28 inches and 8 above 34 inches, and all the fish between 28 and 34 inches had to be released. about (34-38 stripers). the other trip was last spring and we had 30 stripers and 60 bluefish with the largest my 39 inch striper. that trip all the stripers were above 30 inchs. we had one last trip this spring then that we saw about 20 stripers and again lots of bluefish. lost 2 huge fish that zipped out line for a few minutes then tossed the hook. bigger then the 39 inch striper since both of those fish hit the same rod as the 39 inch but we had a novice angler who had the rod at the time. gotta love the spring striper run on the raritain bay!! ill get some more pictures soon

caught this guy at 3 in the morning on a rubber frog

not big, but i didnt think i was gonna get it. i threw in the frog just screwing around.

nice, yea ive done that several times, just get fustrated so i decide to try something thats different or just fun to cast and ive run across a few patterns on a few days that nothing worked and what did work was the last thing i would expect.

i remember casting small jigs, and tubes all last year in the early spring trying to catch a bass or two but i didnt have any luck which i wasnt to upset since it was still early march and pretty cold still up here in PA. so i tried a small spinner for one reason or another and ont he 3rd cast i caught a small bass, after 2 more days and about 15 bass laster i figured out a small area of active fish, with small spinner with a lots of color like the sunfish that are the primary prey in the small pond, and the right retieve with it being about a foot off the bottom and use barly having the blade spinning. i think there was a spring leaking 50 degree water into that area of the pond. well the pattern held up a week later after about 6 inchs of snow and having around the edges of the pond. figure that one out, catching 5 or 6 bass in 2 hours with ice around with a moving lure? ill dig that picture out, me holding a 17 inch bass while standing in 6 inches of snow
