Anyone ever have any nightmares about their fish/tanks? I mean literal nightmare dreams, not the figurative ones.

About a week ago, I dreamt that my O had HITH so bad, he couldn't eat. food would go in his mouth and out the top of his head. I was so horrified, I called the LFS, and they told me "just do a waterchange, he'll be fine".

Then, last night, I dreamt that my air hose came disconnected from the air pump somehow at night. all the water slowly siphoned out onto the floor, and all the fish were just flopping around on the sand. I caught it in time, refilled it and then all my fish just jumped out of the tank.

Both these dreams were so vivid I had to get out of bed and check on my tanks before going back to sleep.

If anyone else has any Fish Nightmares, lets hear 'em!

P.S. the air hose thing can really happen. I caught it about a month ago, after only about a gallon drained out (thank God it was only a gallon). Make sure your hoses are tightly secured and out of the way of kids/terresterial pets.

ill have the typical tank busting dream every once in a while....

or sometimes i dream that i find my favorite fish Fatass (hes a large male Venustus) floating dead in the top of the tank in the morning-i think that one stems from the fact that hes getting on in years.... and isnt a young fish anymore...

my nightmare came true last week.. we had a big storm and the power went out.. for 12 hours.. i thought all my fish were gonna die.. but lucky enough.. we remembered the generator and put powerheads in every tank and heaters in the ones that needed it until the power came back.. so i had 6 tanks runnin on a 1000 watt honda generator for 12 hours..

to top it off.. the gas stations near our house didn't have power so the pumps didn't work.. we had to drive 20 mins away just to get frickin gas for the generator

come to think of it, I've had the tankbusting dream a couple of times, too. except in mine, the top of the tank breaks, and I decide to keep it. I just don't fill it all the way up anymore!

o god... i have tank dreams a few nights a week... mostly about the pump quitting and the tank just going stale and everyone goin bellyup... sometimes i dream about my pleco getting stuck in the javamoss.... and theres the constant fear of slipping on a wet floor while walking to the bathroom at 2am.....

I've kept fish off and on most of my life, but only recently started having nightmares about them dying/tank failing.

was afraid I was going crazy.

I dreamt a gulper ate me during my afternoon nap

thats what check valves are for

My nightmare is my husband selling all my fish or just throwing them away in the woods while I'm shopping in town. I'm always really upset and crying/begging him not to hurt or toss my ray and eel, and I wake up mad at him (ha ha!) I know he would never do that in real life, but in all my dreams he's a real bastard for some reason.
