I started my fishless cycle on 1/18/10(last week). I would like to present my log below and then follow with a few questions because I am a little unclear on a few things.
I have a 110 gallon Oceanic tank(60 X 24 X 18), I run 3 HOT Magnun filters(2 with standard carbon and 1 with bio chips) and 1 Fluval 404 with all bio-media in it.
The temp in the tank has been between 79.5 and 80.2. I used Krasdale brand Ammonia(ammonia Hydroxide).
please do the best you can with the chart...had trouble inserting the cleaned up one...but ammonia was added in drops and the numbers after the time are ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and pH levels - in that order......a "/" indicates data not taken at that time

1-26 300 8 PM 0 .8 60 8.0
1-27 / 7:30 AM 0 .5 80-90 /
My questions to you are(because I have seen so many different variations and interpretations) is how does this look/is it on course? Were my ammonia and nitrite spikes high enough? Should I continue to add my reduced amount of ammonia(50% of original dose that got me my highest reading which was 5 drops per gallon, the reduced amount is 2-3 drops/gal)? And for how long?
Thanks for any help and clarification you can provide.
