Alright everyone get your popcorn:popcorn: ready. Picked up a a group of 4 WC Rio Mag umbees from Gage @ cichlid connection about a week ago and dont think ive ever been more excited in this hobby. I have 2 males @ 5",3" and 2 females @ 4.5",3" in a 6x2x20" 150 with the hopes in getting a pair and the possibility of two pairs. the samllest male looks to have some crazy potential and all of them have a ton of freckles and are already showing a good amount of blue. gonna try and update on these guys about every month so heres part 1 on my umbees series. thanks for watching and stay tuned for these guys as they grow into beasts:)

Congrats on the pick up:) I do see some potential in there. Imo I would pull yhr bigger male out and use him later. Leaving the smaller male to have a chance to shine with the females. That's your best chance to get the smaller male a head start to pimping;) I think the lil guy will be better looking. Good luck with your project.

thanks Jason:). the larger male is a little more on the aggressive side and was thinking i would either move him or divide the tank cause the smaller male is looking awesome. thanks for the inspiration btw cause the general is the main reason ive always wanted a group of rio mags :)
 
Man they look nice! Keep us posted, I my self will also be getting 2 wc malez this sat ;-) , i will post when I can. Very nice pick up fishman!
 
Very nice man you are going to fall in love with these guys. I have never kept such a majestic cichlid. They are the king of cichlids IMO. Nothing rivals them for the combination of beauty and personality. Nice pickup and welcome to the umbee club!

thanks. I had a 10" male that was awesome and have always regretted getting rid of it. gonna have a lot of fun with these guys:)
