I save all the mulm from filter cleanings, gravel vaccuming etc. and save it in gallon milk jugs. I give it away to friends and family and they water their plants and stuff. Also, my wife has an african violet plant that supposedly is really difficult to get it to bloom. But with the fish water it blooms all the time!

Is this too weird?

wow you learn something new everyday. I have heard of coffee grounds helping soil, but not fish poo. I think I will try it, I have a ton of indoor plants. Thanks for infor. on this.

This is very common. I know people who recycle their tank water as water for the lawn and garden. I have noticed most of them comment how the grass are more lush and plants are greener . Its very good fertilizer :)

ewww
its the monster ****

I siphon my tank water straight out of the tank into my mums gardens.

Amazing how foreign this is to people. It's Aquaponics with soil....just dont put it on food plants if you Medicate. a lot of those are real bad for humans...you can do the same thing in a closed system and filter your tanks while you grow food.... Real aquaponics

It's not uncommon for me to use a jug of tank water to water plants, haven't used mulm etc though...yet
