Planning out a fishroom in my basement, gonna be breeding nano fish and shrimps (wild type bettas, CRS, apistos etc). Figured out the filtration gonna be running the whole room on RO water with a continuous drip and also an automatic water change system programmed with an irrigation timer, my only concern is that my drain pipe is roughly 3ft above the ground and the ceiling is only about 7ft tall, which would limit the amount of rows i can have, planning out the racks i can only have two rows of tanks that are high up to allow for proper drainage so i could not do the bottom two rows if i were to do four rows of tanks. I was considering having a big tote to collect the drained water and then hooking up a sump pump to a timer and have it empty out the tank once a day, my only concern with that is if the pump fails and I flood the room.
Just wondering if any of you guys faced this issue and what your work around was? Pictures are appreciated!
I will attach pictures of the room when i get home
Cheers!
