I was cleaning my tank when i temporarily took out the heater without unplugging it

. I set the house on fire!
no one was injured, only a pair of boots ruined
but the heater was totally DEAD!
I bought a new one, but forgot to set it, and I put in WAY too much conditioner, and woke up the next morning to 2 dead fish, and milk at 95 degrees Fahrenheit. We moved the fish into our emergency/transport betta bowl. One of my danios died the night after, but everyone is now OK (except the dead ones and my nutty molly). But alas, good usually comes from bad, and I want to make a post of anything that went terribly wrong because of YOU (no ammonia spikes) that might make interesting stories!
P.S. this happened 4 months ago, I have gotten over it.
