Fishy dreams and nightmares..

So this past weekend I had a fish tank related nightmare. I wouldn't say that I have regular nightmares related to my fish but this isn't the first time I have a had a fish related nightmare.

In the dream I bought my spouse a senegal bichir because he wanted one. I was careful when I put the guy in our tank that the lid was tight because I knew he would jump. So I put my hand on the lid as the bichi peeked his head out of the water and leaped into the lid. When he realized he wasn't going anywhere, he swam to the back portion of the lid, the one covered with the plastic blocker. I held it down as the bichir leapt up into it again. I watched, in my dream, as the frustrated bichir eyed up the lower corner of my tank and swam straight into and through it! He popped a whole in the corner, right through the tank glass, and landed on the floor.

I start to scream and the water is pouring out of the tank. I am yelling to my spouse to get in here and help save our fish. He runs in and we start putting our fish in tupperware containers with lids, sealed in with tank water. Our friend sits on the couch and watches and I realize every time we throw a fish his way, he's biting their heads off!

Really weird dream.

What are your fishy dreams or nightmares?
 
I had a dream once my house caught on fire and I couldn't get my fish out... It was sad, so I grabbed all my guitars and music instruments.

LMAO the part about biting the heads off had me rolling. I had been saving up to get my second fx5 and a couple weeks ago I was sleeping and the wife told me to turn the tv off she said I said that I couldn't because there's a guy in there. She said a guy I said yeah I just bought a filter off of him she just laughed and grabbed the remote and turned it off herself.
I've been doing a lot of research lately about what I'm going to stock my 150 with and usually have a couple dreams a week about the different fish I've researched. Last night I had a dream about bichirs.
 
I've had several dreams about LOSING my fish. There's always some crazy scenario involved and ALWAYS the tank just shatters into a million pieces. x_x
 
I have had dreams that random fish appear in my tank. I had a dream that a Hujeta Gar appeared in my 5.5g, so I brought it to the lfs. When I got back there was a Green Moray and a Clown Trigger in the same tank, then an Angelfish, a Shovelnose Catfish, a Pencilfish, a GREEN Betta ( :WTF: )... in my haste I then dropped a soap dispenser into the tank, killing all my fish. Then there was the dream where I had like 3 Goldfish in a 5g and someone put a Redeye Piranha in there as a joke and it shredded the Goldfish. Finally where my mom bought me a Firebelly Newt as a surprise (this was before I kept them in real life) and in the bag it turned into a Mosquitofish.
 
every now and again I'll have a dream that I have a fish tank that I've forgotten about; like, it's inside a cabinet or under a table or something, I haven't paid any attention to it in weeks, and the fish in it are all starving (but alive)

it reminds me of the kind of dreams where you go to school and forgot to study for an important test
 
i think you guys should get out more often :ROFL:
