I posted this in the set up and filtration forum with out any results so far, but is anybody out there using the Fission Nano Skimmer? I'm setting up a 20 gallon reef and I would love to incorperate a skimmer but I have to use most of my funds for my live rock. These little guys fit right into my budget and I'm just wondering how well they work?

get a hang on fuge and some miracle mud and skip the skimmer

we use one in a 24 gallon aquapod at the store. it works well but in that particular setup its hard to see it and the girls who work with me always sink it so i can never get it set right. i think that you would be better off with an airstone driven one. i used the lee's aquarium skimmer in my 55 reef and it worked out great. i still use it in my 170 gallon system untill i can save up for another. BTW the lee's skimmer was like 40 bux. :headbang2

Thanks guys! I think a smaller airstone is the way to go also, although a small hang on fuge sounds pretty sweet! I have an old AC110 lying aroung that I could put a couple of baffles in an make my owne fuge.

welp i just got one and i guess i should have read more reviews on them, so far its pumping alot of microbubbles into the tank, but it said thats normal at first, the tank is young too. it was the perfect size, and for 25 bucks i couldnt pass it up.
