Can someone give me some suggustions on how they put their barbs and tubes together?? it seems like I have a hard time fitting a barb into a tube nicely. I meant it just wont get in a tube does not matter how much I push it in.

Thanks

heat a pan of water to a boil then use it to soften the tubing just a matter of seconds soften just the end to be fitted

Yes pan of hot water or even hottest water from the sink for a minute. Then push it in and let it cool. The hot water will make that hose unbelievably gummy. And when it cools down it comes right back to original hardness.

hey another good idea that i use is if to take a small propane torch and heat up the end of the pipe very lightly do not hold the flame on the tubing for more than a few seconds it really works great

A heat gun is also nice, though a hairdryer would have a similar effect. I would personally recommend against using a torch as you can really overdo it that way and quickly end up with a melted, or at least blackened tube.

hey i think that the torch works well I have been useing schdule 40 black poly pipe that needs a little more heat to get softened up. they all work i guess that it just depends on your skills what you have avalable ect.
