well i got a new tank i posted a video of it on here but i,ll post it again
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IisBE8FZEH4
and this tank was sitting on a stand that i was unsure of using, put my thinking was the guy who had it before me use it for 5 years.Well it crack in the bottom middle, all the fish then quickly with out much thought went into the 600 gallon tang tank(fix the crack get them back in before the fronts attack my sting rays)Nope the other way around the female sting ray eat 3 wild caught moba and two gold head comps, one white wild caught calvas.
fixed the stand so it can hold 20000 pounds of water and waiting 24 hours for curing(short but didn,t want her to eat anything else)
time to get the fishes in the 600 gallon, hmmmm 600 gallon=600 hours of net time
all the lake tang went into the 240,the ones i could get(all the fronts nothing else)
stings rays and playground sand dont mix my tank was cloudy big time.....
pool sand perhaps(yes)drain the water half way, bring out 6 totes and air pumps to all of them fish water in the totes crathe stings rays, green jardin and all the rest into the totes.
Start pulling out the granite wall i made 900 pounds worth of it lol and get the rest of the fish hiding that where hiding in the wall, get them out.Bought 350 pounds of 1.5 mm pool sand clean that awwwww hours later clean....drain the 600 gallon get 600 pounds of play ground sand out, then clean the tank(three small hang on filters on the sump tank running.
then proceed to fill up the tank from other tanks water and my pump for that job goes(ahhhhhhh) go out buy i new one, take 50% from 4 other tanks fills about half the water in the 600 gallon)
started at 9 am fin at 11 pm all good and no lost on fishes
my week has been ruff, pool sand rocks wish i new of it before, sting rays love it.from now on pool sand for me on my tank
P.s have a real granite wall for free 16 ft long by 28 inches high lol
not putting it back in, lots of crap behind it and the water there smelt like poop
