fixing a canister motor housing?

So I rinsed my media in my xp3's and they both started leaking. One I beleave the motor housing where the gasket goes to seal it to the media container cracked and the other I think is just leaky gaskets. I have not stuck anything into these filters in the 7 years I owned them. Giving the age should I fix them or replace them? Not sure how I can fix a cracked motor housing?

Housing is cracked in the Grove. You can see the water running out of it.

I ordered 2 ehiem 2217's. I hear the reliability and duribility is insane. I'm just ganna scrap the one with the cracked housing and save the good parts for the other xp3.
