I have a 250g tank (80 x 26 x 28) L x W x H in inches

Stocking, all unsexed

12 Demasonis - 2 inches
5 mpanga - 1.5 to 2 inches
6 yellow labs - 2.5 inches
10 yellow labs 1 to 1.5 inches
6 ob peacocks - 3 inches
2 ob peacocks -1.25 inch
10 assorted of peacocks - 1 to 1.5 inches
6 strawberry peacocks 1.5 - 2 inches

Some say it might work, some say it will not work.

So how do I TRY to avoid the carnage WITHOUT taking any fish out ? Taking out any fish right now is not an option as i have a ton of rock work in the tank and removing the rocks to catch a fish is out of the question.

So the ONLY OPTION I have now is to add more fish to distribute aggression.

Do I add more peacocks ? Mbuna ? both ?

Don't add anything. You already have more than enough fish to distribute aggression. Have a hospital tank cycled and metronidazole on hand. If the fish are harassed to the point of illness they tend to lurk under the surface and they may be easier to catch.

I agree, I would not add more fish.

BTW - it's not a case of what will work, or won't work, or what one can do, or even what someone else has done. It's a case of what one should do. Try to look at stocking from the fishes perspective, a life of constant stress and harassment isn't a quality life.

Most of the peacocks in your video appear to be mbuna/Aulonocara hybrid crosses, so you may not have that many issues over the long haul. Those OB peacocks should hold their own. The others, I guess time will tell. If the odd fish gets torn up, or sick, have a net ready to scoop them out.

Is it just me, or are there no fish in the video?

There are 65 African "Dream" fish in this tank :)

Video was taken before stocking the tank
