I picked up this tank on craigs list w/ a cracked bottom about a year ago for 20.00$. I was going to use it as a reptile tank, but being 30'' tall is a little to tough to clean the bottom. The peice of plexi glass was used by the previous owner to try and patch the tank. The tank is 48'' long 24'' deep, and 30''tall.
Here is the plan so far.
1. Clean out tank
2. Buy materials: silicone, plywood, something to seal plywood?
3. seal plywood before i put in tank
4. silicone plywood in place
5. Let dry for a week
6. Fill and cross my fingers
Anything else I am missing? Also what should I use to seal the plywood. I can seal the peice in my back yard so smell will not be a problem. I prefer something I can get at a local store so I do not have to pay shipping. I also would prefer not to mess with fiberglass. Something I can just role on would be preferred.
And of course some pics.
