I run HOB filters, so I have some gaps in my tank.
Been wanting some polypterus for a while but they would easily be able to escape through the gaps.
What can I use to fill in the space between the HOB outlets and the hood?
I was thinking of using strips of that white/pink insulation that comes in big squares?(I forget the name)

I had tape, but water would splash from the hobs/condensation and it would just slide off.

I'll probably just buy a cheap plastic hood.

im a huge fan of egg crate and plexi.. however for small gaps i use insulation tape.. right now theres piles of it at every homedepot/lowes.. its used to seal window a/c units.. stuff works great..

I'll pick some up.
I always break hoods or cut too large a space for HOBS.

use a dremel.. works way better than tin snips and pilers... well worth the $30 or so..
