My cousin is looking at buying a 300 gallon acrylic tank with a full sump filtration setup, etc. for a very good price. The tank is in decent condition because on the face of it, it has alot of scratches. The owner said they would polish out. Does anyone know or have any experience elimination acrylic scratches? Pretty much these scratches are the only thing holding us back at the moment of getting it, because it will be in a basement in a built in wall ordeal so the condition of the face is a big deal. Thanks for any info in advance.

Novus 1, 2, and 3 are what most people use to get rid of scratches on acrylic tanks...search google or amazon
It's a pain, and takes a lot of work. I dealt with mine after trying to buff them out for a few hours. Not really noticeable when filled, so it's not a big deal, unless the thing is wasted.
i've done the novus thing also and as stated it works but it takes a LOT of elbow grease . I suggest having the owner buff it out as per his offer .
