I have two flag tails in diffrent tanks with the same problems. It seems that their pectoral red fins are disintigrating-turns pale and black and then disintigrates. I am not sure what its because rest of the fish and its fins are fine and healthy. Also there are no fishes which could be nipping on them. I have done a water change and added some melafix if its fin rot.
