Alright, i currently own a 7 " beautiful flag tail that ive had for a little over 5 months. My question is, i can't seem to see him grow, maybe theyre slow growers ? Another thing is, i don't really know what to feed this guy, i mean he does literally sucks the slime of my 220 nonstop, i dont remember last time i cleaned the inside of the glass of my tank, i run a BB tank so this little guy keeps my glass sparkling clean !. Is this enough food for him? sometimes he also just sucks on w/e food i feed my other guys, Massivore delite or tilapia, but not for long before my other fish takes it away from him. Is there any specific food to feed this guys? I tried the cuccumeber and lettuce thing, he doesn't like it, not interested in it. Is been 5 months and he seems to be healthy and happy, always swimming around and come close to me when i approach the tank. Should i change a thing? Add some moss balls maybe for him to munch on? Lmk plz, thank you

They will eat tilapia but it needs to be cut very small. Try flake food or very small pellets. Mine is a very good eater.

Can I ask how do you feed them the lettuce and cucumbers? I've had success with using suction cups to attach them to the glass allowing the flagtail to graze on them. You can also try Algae Wafers or pure spirulina, which you can even grow yourself if you have space and the inclination.

I mean, he's a great! eater, just gets out played by the other fish. Im trying to find a a type of food he would like, be nutritional and the other fish aren't interested .. That' the problem, also he;s been doing ok on feeding on scraps and slime of powerheads, and cords, driftwood , glass of the tank. is that enough for him to eat?

If he isn't growing well than chances are good he's not getting enough. What size tank and what tankmates?
