Flag tail with bichir

I have a flagtail that used to suck slime once in awhile. It was always just a taste and move on. He did that for about a month and quit. Hasn't done it in over a year. I guess it didn't taste good?

Might be ok when Flagtails are small. I had to get rid of my 2 Flagtails that grew to around 10" cause they were sucking on my bichirs.
