I am planning on picking up some chichla ocelaris tonight. I have also had my eye on a flagtail in the store. They seem to be similar size. Does anyone her know of the grown rate of the flagtail? Just wondering if it could be a good tankmate for the bass? I have been researching the bass for weeks now but the flagtail is a new project that I have just started looking into as of yesterday
The flagtail would be great tankmates for cichlia but need to get it a fair size to not be eaten, they aren’t that uncommon at large sizes

Wooo. Finally got them. It was kind of an adventure. I saw them on Wednesday, then convinced my wife it was a good idea. Next day went to get them but the store was closed.. weird and somewhat random to be closed on Thursday.
So next day called in to see if they still had them and the fs says only 3 left. There were 14 the day before, so I asked if they would hold them.
This store is on the opposite side of my city so I had to drive an hour to get there, turns out in the time I had driven there someone had tried to buy another 4. So I told the owner he needs to order some kelberi so I can grab another 3. Lol
