What can I expect with the growth of my flagtail with optimal water conditions and good feedings? I'm talking 2 water changes a week with good filtration, also a good diet.
I've had mine for over a year now and it hasn't grown particularly fast. Started off around 1 inch and is maybe 6-7inches now. However, it is a voracious eater and takes flakes, shrimp pellets, algae pellets, etc.
Thanks. Yes so far it has eaten anything I've put in the Tank. But it being in with bala's, tinfoils and silver dollars I have to make sure it get it's food.
I agree more or less with the above. Assuming we are talking about the more colorful and desirable species of the two flagtails, I got one from Rapps last Aug-Sept 2016 at 2". It is ~6"-7" today 6 months later.
The less colorful ones, I have had three of, for ~1.5 years. Got them from FishOnlineRUs at ~2" by accident - thought I was getting the pretty ones. They are still 5"-6" today. IDK their max size though. Looks like they are smaller-growing.
