FLAGTAIL HOLE IN THE HEAD

Hi guys

i brought a large flagtail recently, i noticed a small bump on his head then today I noticed that it had become a small hole. Does characins get hole in the head?

Does anybody know what it is and how can I cure it?

not sure but i dont see why not i no aros and stuff like that can get it it is usualy do to poor water conditions

A picture would help id the problem. But if it is HITH then lots of water changes should cure it. My flagtail ends up with a hole in his nose every now and then from hitting the top of the tank. They are jumpers anyway and get easly spooked. When it heals there is a noticable bump. So if he's new to your tank he may not be use to everything yet and easily spooked.
