Hi everyone. I just this flagtail fish last week. He is swimming and eating very well but I just noticed this today after water change. He has so many small dots on his body. Please tell me whats wrong with him. 05ED7DF3-0264-4454-9CC1-54B88D66BE6E.jpeg

Classic signs of whitespot (ich). The move last week probably stressed him out a bit, ich is a classic result of stress. Some people use the raised temps and salt method, others go down the route of shop bought medication, both very effective.

There's masses of info on this disease in the "freshwater diseases and health issues" section. Don't worry about it, it can be treated very effectively, your fish should be fine. Just follow instructions to the letter and when it clears up don't fall into the trap of stopping treatment prematurely, do the full recommended course of treatment, otherwise it will come back.

Good luck.

Hi. I just raise my temp to 31c and add double dose of aquarium salt that I put every water change. Hope it helps since I have other fish in the tank too. Thanks a lot

You really need to up your temps slowly, not a sudden big rise, and ensure that your fish are going to be ok with the rise. Also the amount of salt you add is quite critical, if you don't add enough it will be ineffective, add too much and everything in your tank will be stressed. If this is the first time you've treated ich I urge you to look at the "sticky" in the "freshwater diseases and health issues" section, like I mentioned.

What other fish are in there? Scaleless fish don't do well with ich medication or salt.
