I know these seem to fight and should be solo per tank..but just curious that anyone has been successful keeping these schooling togehter? please some input on this.

Im looking forward to get a few small one and outgrow them.

An LFS had a ton of small ones (2") in stock once, and they weren't schooling, per se, but they were all clustered together in one corner. Kinda like how they are here:

They weren't in a big enough tank or a proper setting for them to really come out of their shells, so they all seemed pretty nervous and peaceful towards each other.

but i know that with distichodus sexfasciatus, they say you shouldn't keep more than one in the tank unless you can get like six of them, due to aggression towards each other (just like with flagtail prochilodus), but when you do have a big school of them, they do end up schooling. I have one distichodus and it's very timid and often gets picked on. they're definitely a lot bolder and more fun when they feel secure in a big school.

thanks yuki...i think imma get a small group of them soon.

when they get older they fight theyre fine when young tho

yea that's what i heard...the older they get the more their fight.

Whatever you do, don't get just a couple. They will literally go after each other all day.

imma go with atleast 6-8 of them.

I had two together and they started chasing, so I separated them...then one died during a power outage
