OH...IO
I would like to add a flagtail (Fei Feng) to my large community but I've heard they can be aggressive or atleast to their own kind. Do you think they are compatible with pacu, bala, tinfoils, clown loachs?
Thanks
Kevin

I think it should work. I got one about a week ago and he is very passive. In the hours Ive spent watching my tank he hasnt bothered anyone. His tank mates include a ray, large ornate bichir, and large catfish. Oh and he is 8" of algae eating machine!

Thanks JD. I'm especially concerned about the tins and bala since they are somewhat similar fish. Anyone with experience?

Ive had them in several com setups and havent had a problem yet. I think its when they get bigger is when they become troublesome. Ive yet to keep any over 5 inches though.

That combo should be fine.

I keep them with tinfoils and loaches.

Thats good news. Do you also keep them with your pangasius? What size is your largest flagtail?

My LFS had a 12" flagtail with pacu, a clown knife, big tinfoil barbs, parrots, and various other cichlids with no problems

Dont you live in Indy? If so where is this store an dhow much are they asking?!

I've also read that they may suck the slime coat off of fish such as gars and rays. I hope my p. niger won't become a target. Anyone?
