From those of you that have kept a flagtail with your rays have you had issues with the flagtail sucking on your rays?....I've heard some who had to remove the flagtail others had no issues...

Yes that is the general view but I'm looking at votes via experience
My take on it is like puffers and rays. You can do it successfully for years then suddenly one day you wake up to absolute carnage.

I would never keep a puffer with a ray.....I think that's a def no....I think plecos would be a close comparison to the flagtails when keeping with rays

I have been keeping flagtails with my rays for years and I haven't had any big issue beside every now and then the flagtail would just accidentally suck on the ray for abit and swim away

I wouldn't trust it. Just had a flagtail kill a clown knife larger than it overnight. This is a flagtail that has been fine with tankmates except for a prior flagtail it was housed with.

I voted "have had problems" but very very little. Kept both together for a very long time and only a few times has the flag tail ever gone down to suck on a Ray. Way I see it is if your Rays are healthy and strong they should be good to retreat if the flag tail becomes bothersome. As well I personally feel that the flagtail is a very busy fish and feels the need to suck almost 100% of the time so if your tank is spotless he might feel the need to pick at fish. My tank is big and has tons of film to suck off so he is busy all day long. Also if a flagtail is gong to go nuts on a Ray and the Ray can't burry its self as protection because you have a bare bottom tank then I can get why the Ray wouldn't be able to retreat. All in all I know I run the risk as many will say. I hope I never find myself in a bad situation.
