OK, seen people keep flag tails and rays.
But then see people having trouble keeping them together..

Have also been told thet FT will suck slim coats off of fish if they get the chance, and we all know thats one thing we have to watch for on rays and their tank mates. Also we had a guy say his FT was taking bites off of his ray, but he was not totally sure of it as he had other tank mates also and Im not sure the bite marks matched up.

So, what are yalls thoughts on it. Im thinking of getting some for our 250 gallon that has rays and a Aro in it.
Of course, depending on the size of the FT, depends on if it goes in the tank now or later down the line..

anyone?

I wouldn't risk it, I like flag tails but I love rays a lot more. If you do decide to try it monitor it VERY closely and have a tank ready for the flagtails.

thanks..

In my experience once the FT acquires a taste for slime coat it's over. I have seen it done successfully, but only time will tell. If you want to risk it keep a close eye on things and have plans for the FT if it doesn't work out.

i tried twice and failed twice..not a good combonation in my experience.

well sounds like its not a good idea. This is why I ask friends who have the same hobby in stead if the LFS.
Thanks for the information..
