As you might know, selling on craigslist you will get people who flake on you. But as a seller, have you ever flaked on a buyer? I did. I put up an ad and had 3 different guys contact me. I thought about it for a few days cause I wasnt sure which one to go with. Two of the guys were a little pushy/eager too and were sending more emails giving me their numbers asking for an address etc. Turns out I didnt wanna do it anymore and I flaked on them. I really dont know why I changed my mind. But I feel like a hypocrite now cause I used to get pissed sometimes when people flaked on me, and I end up being a flake. Have any of you guys done this?

i dont know if you consider it flaking, but ive not sold things to people because when they called or emailed me, there was just something about them i dident like. Either they had a nasty attitude, or were just downright weird on the phone.

stupid i know.....

what is this flaking, you speak of?

I had my bike for sale for a while on there wrecked CBR900. Finally this week decided to fix it and sell since everyone was low balling me on a easy fix. Finally had two guys say they really wanted it so i told them i need $1500 more than asked on craigs list to make it worth my while not to fix it and get more out of it fixed.
So far both may come and get it today.

I only flake on people when I'm trying to find homes for my aquarium inhabitants. A while back I was trying to get rid of my Red Eared Slider and got a call from a possible adopter. When I asked her how big of an aquarium she was going to put her in, she said, "I dont have one. Do you think the bath tub would be fine?":screwy: But I guess thats the type of people you attract when you post pets for free.
Almost forgot, she wanted me to deliver it too.:irked:

Multiple times I have decided not to deal with responders because of a bad vibe they gave, for whatever reason. As a female doing most of these transactions alone, I feel that's my prerogative. But I've never promised something to someone and then reneged.

Now that I think of it, I have done this too a few times. I didnt like how the person sounded over the phone. They might of had a small aquarium or it sounded like they had no clue how to care for the fish etc.
