Hey, i'm starting up a 125g preditor tank and I have a couple questions- WOuld a flame angel be alright in a preditor tank? Meaning with snowflake eel, porcupine puffer and either a niger or humu humu trigger? As well as some type of large angel or tang as well?

Also I'm tring to decide what I want to add first? I want to start with something small and make sure the water is absolutely fine and stable enough to add a puffer or another larger fish. So would the flame angel be a good fish to start with? If not are there any other reccommendation of what I should start with? I'm thinking of getting something small that will eventually just get eaten when I get the snowflake eel. Any suggestions?

Thanks Alot!!!!

i'd stick to the larger angels

the puffer or trigger would be hardier than the angel, i'd add them first, but small

you could try a group of spotted cardinals, they are fairly cheao, don't turn into mistevious aholes like damsels and are hardy enough to be the first fish in.. and hey, if they don't die they still look cool

specifically for the beggining of the tank? or in general?

for starters:
a big school of chromis
a shoal of sleeper gobies, kind of expensive if they're eaten (which is rather unlikely) but will REALLY help keep the sandbed clean
you could start with the trigger and eel, they are both very hardy, buy them small if you intend to do this

in general:
blue ring angels
purple tangs
orange shoulder tang
lieutenent tang
clown tang
virgate foxface
metallic foxface
pink tail trigger
blue jaw trigger
schooling bannerfish?

I keep my flame angel with a zebra eel, queen angel, french angel, yellow tang, blue tang, saddleback butterfly, six line wrasse and a blue chromis (I don't think I missed anyone). None of them are predators and get along well (although they do nibble on my corals at times).
