Flame Moss dying off...

I've had this moss for over a year and never had an issue with it until the beginning of this month.

Long story short I had a severe ich outbreak (first time ever) in Febuary and used the salt/heat method to cure my tank over a span of 3-4 weeks. Before I started treatment, I took out all my plants, soaked them in hot water and put them in jars. After my tank was fine, I put my mosses back in but shortly thereafter they started to turn brown.

I remember reading somewhere that Flame Moss doesn't tolerate salt well and I added 1 1/2 teaspoon of salt after I put them back in as a preventative. Could this have killed them? Right now the moss is in jars outside, because I have no idea what to do with it. There are 3 jars - one yellowish brown ball, a handful of green, and a brownish-yellow ball.

I don't know if they are dead but is there anyway to revive it? I would hate to throw it away, since I have a lot of it.

Oh forgot to add I did a 100% tank change and then added the salt and plants in.

How hot was the hot water that you soaked the plants in? That is probably what killed them.

Pretty hot. Not hot enough to burn you but hot enough to kill anything on the plants. I thought maybe this might of been the problem or the salt.

I'd say the heat did it.

Thanks. Everything points to the heat. Good thing the moss wasn't that expensive lol
