Well this was a fun surprise that keeps getting better and better 
I had a 3 some and decided to keep the fry since one of the mothers was a HRP cross and wanted to see what she handed down. I got sick of raising them and decided to dump into my aro tank to get rid of them and well they became friends. One day while cleaning up turds I saw a barred con with an different tail then the standard convicts I was use too. Down the ribs of the tail he had black marks so I decided not to goto the LFS later that week and see what happened and low and behold the tail turned red I noticed more and more of the batch getting this trait. About 80% of the fish have this the other show no signs of HRP blood. I am going to select my breeding stock but if your local to SD your welcome to what I dont use
