Flanders natural fiber air filter

Hello,
Want to know if i should keep using this for my pond as part of my filtration. ive just put in Flanders natural fiber airfilter as part of the filtration media. Need to know if a made a mistake putting that in so that i can remove it right away if i did. The package read biodegradeable all natural. I figured it would be good , but i heard mention they may use latex as a binder is this going to be bad for the fish?

Im using it with tilapia and have had no problems. I use it on my hob filters as a prefilter for the factory pads. Works well to keep my biowheels spinning. I also read about using similar airfilters by a researcher named reinman i believe for use with airlifts
