Flash photograpghy and fish eyes.

G'day, I was just taking a few pics of my fish to put up on here, and since it's night here, I used the flash on the camera, I stopped taking photos because a question popped into my head, and I want it answered before I start taking more pics.

Does flash photograpghy cause damage to fishes eyes?

Your insight into this will be much appreciated. 8)

How about using a flashlight to try to find Plecos in the dark?

I don't think flash will hurt their eyes, it just startles them. Now cephalopods, flash could kill them.
