So it has been a long time since I was "in to" plecos, but the bhttp://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=123ug has hit me again. I am building my group of L14, have a nice L114 and a bn. I have a really nice heavily planted 90g that could use a flashy pleco. Any recommendations? The criteria - stays relitively small, there is a decent chance it will come out and show itself, and easy to feed. I am not looking for an algae eater (tho if helps I won't complaign) The tank is stocked with tetras, hillstream loaches, a small bn, and small acaras. Thanks. I do like the L134 ( think pretty white and black pleco? not thinking of zebra.)

My l104 only maxes out at 4ish inches...he's a little bit larger...but i like how he looks....wood eater... nice coloration... and i have plenty of driftwood so i see him often...
the l134 looks pretty cool as well

In my opinion get some l177s from snookin, I understand that they get big but it will take forever, infact ive never seen gold nuggets bigger than 5". So if u get them at 3 or 4 inches, they should take years before they out grow your tank and when they get too big, im sure u can easily sell them and make good profit. Their dark body and nice contrast of gold dots are just amazing specially in a nice planted tank. Good luck

I really like the L66. Also have always liked the gold nugget, but everyone I know that has them says they never see them out. Is that your experience?

not flashy but I have always like them do you think a L 56 would work in a heavily planted 90g? Or would it get too bulky?

What about [emperor] flash plecos L204? I have a group of 4, and they are out and about chasing each other, unlike the other plecos (when I had them in the same tank) that just hide. Also they aren't too expensive. Only downside, being a panaqulos, is they poop lots of sawdust.
