Flathead catfish

Has anyone ever heard of anyone keeping a flathead. First, yes, I do realize how big they get, and how voracious of a feeder they are. I have a large pond (as in a 45 acre farm pond) I can eventually put him in. I have a 4x4x2 tank to start though. I've recently been able to find some specimens in the 1-2 lb (12"-16") range and they look like they may be manageable in that size aquaria. Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with one.

You do know that they can get to 60 inches, and weigh over 100lbs, right? You would need a VERY large aquarium.

Ive kept flatheads in my pond and my kiddie pool. There aggressive as heck and if the cant eat it thell try to shread it. All the other fish in my pool would have tore up tails and fins.

How large was the flathead when he became aggressive? Mine leaves fish too large to eat alone. He is about 7-8".

He is very cool looking when he comes out, but that is rare. He has a hollowed out log in my tank and only comes out at night.
