Hi Everyone:
I'm trying to connect my overflow (bulkheads) to my wet/dry filter and my 3' flex hoses are too short regardless how I position the wet/dry filter under the aquarium stand. I purchased two 6' flex hoses and they're too long. Is there any way to cut the 6' flex hoses to about 4'-5' and still use the end pieces (hose cuffs)?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

You didn't state the diameter of the hose, but they sell hose cuffs for mending pool hoses or insert a piece of PVC pipe into the hose. Depending on what the hose is made of you may be able to use PVC cement to bond it.

Outlaw: I was staying away from PVC because I would have to use a bunch of parts to connect with the bulk head and wet/dry. The flex hose connected directly with everything and gave me a little flexibility.

Dr. Joe: The hose is approximatley 1 1/2" in diameter and is the standard size that comes with most wet/dry units. I'm hoping to cut it and reattach the hose cuff. I'm going to check with a local pool supplier on the hose mending kit.

Thank You.
