State of chaos
a few fish will float for a minute after release, catching their breath. i like to prevent that. lets make a list of sensitive species to release ASAP, shall we?
Golden Shiner, Mojarra, Cunner, Sea Robin, Skate, Lane Snapper, Herring...

Ummmm, tons of fish are sensitive to release. The real way to prevent release deaths and misshaps is to properly catch and revive the fish. Remember, when practicing catch and release to handle the fish as little as possible. Don't net or gaff any fish you intend on releasing. Make sure the fish has enough energy to swim on its own. Keep your fights short and use barbless if you dare.

As long as they have been handled properly and caught quickly all fish can go in right away. If the fight has been a long on push the fish forward to get some wter running through their gills and do not pull them backwards gillsdont work backwords.
