those of you with overflows know its tuff to keep floating food from getting sucked into the box. being new to the sump world i found this to be a big problem. i devised a simple and inexpensive solution.

supplies...

+ air tubing. (legth depends on how big you want the ring and leash to be)

+ 3 way air tube connector. (the one i have feels like plastic or some lite medal)

the steps are very easy... so i will let the pictures talk for themselves.
why buy a small one when you can make a big one cheaper :)

clever...qutie clever... probably good for slow feeders.

That's a great idea. And to think that I was going to buy one this weekend.

You just saved me a few bucks!

That is very clever! to think i would have bought a ring...when something so simple was staring me in the face!

Great idea i was wondering if I would ever use floating food in my tanks with overflows

Great idea. I came up with a reverse feeding ring. The inner part of the ring faces the overflow and is connected to the outer grill. The food is dropped in the outer part of the ring.

This is perfect I almost bought one from the store because the freeze dried krill goes right down the drain. I will build one of these tonight. Thanks!
