floating particles in the water

on my 55g tank im running two aquaclear70 filters, both have foam one has ceramic rings the other has carbon bag. my stock is two 4" severums, a 3" synodotis cat, a 2" datnoid, and 5 danios. i dont think im overstocked and my water parameters are perfect but for some reason my water has tons of little particles floating around. i think it could be caused from debris on my plants. i plan on adding an xp3 soon to the tank. would you recommend more foam or something else in my AC filters or perhaps clean the filter media more thats already in the filters?

AC filters do very poorly with finer mechanical media. I'd recomend an air driven Hydro4 sponge filter

would some fine filter floss in there help out or is the actual pulling of the particles into the filter?

finer media causes the Aqua clears to start bypassing almost imeadiatly so I don't recomend anything finer than the stock foam.

I have the same problem with my Aquaclear filters. Adding a canister should help clear up those fine particles.

I've added cut to fit quilt batting to AC110's with no bypass issues.
First the sponge, then the batting, then the biomax bag on top to hold the batting in place.
Rinse and reuse.
