Okay so I just switched from sinking to floating but the fish (all cichlid) aren’t eating the floating pellets. Since I added a substrate, I don’t want to feed them sinking food anymore. I was feeding them hikari sinking carnivore and I’ve got hikari cichlid gold+ floating pellets. Any tips to get them eat the floating pellets?

Whenever you change foods some fish will not attempt to eat unless they get hungry. What is the concern about the sinking pellet and the substrate?

Got a lot of rocks in the tank, sinking usually goes and settles inside the rocks and driftwood too. The fish usually doesn’t eat anything the touches the ground

And I’ve read that sinking pellets make the water more dirty

Also, I already bought the floating pellets and even opened it, so can’t really return it now. Any tips to get them eating the floating?

Some members suggest soaking pellets in garlic juice. Tbh I've never tried that method. I suggest wait a couple more days the Cichlids will be fine.
