Hey I am wondering what type of floating plant is best for them to have shade.
I use 2 marineland double bright 24”
1 48” zoomed light with a 5.0 uvb bulb
And then I have just a multicolor led tube with a remote.

the tank is 125 he IS a baby right now though.

You can fry with hornwort, pretty low maintenance. Duckweed would also work.

Personally my choice is always Indian fern as it’s nice and robust but unlike duckweed you can get rid of it if you want to and it doesn’t transfer to every tank you don’t want it in!

Water sprite. Looks like a broad leaf wisteria and is the perfect environment for an Arowana to cruise through. Easy care, too.

Welcome aboard!

Thank you! I poked around on here 15 years ago or so when it was a lot different. The board has definitely grown a quite a bit and in the interim has attracted some xlnt posters w/ great content. I've only been on here for a week or so this go-round and have already found a zillion threads I'd like to read from top to bottom.

I've bookmarked the site and will try to give back when I can. I am that old guy that has a back room full of no longer used CO2 equipment and storage bins full of tank stuff that probably could've been tossed and not missed years ago. Maybe there's something I've learned that someone else can use down the road.

Thanks to the mods and membership for having built such a cool site from what had been humble beginnings!
